Safeguarding and reporting concerns

Every child at TFA has the right to be safe. This page explains how to report a concern and how we respond.

If a child is in immediate danger

Call 999. Then tell us.

Reporting a concern

If you’re worried about a child, or about how an adult or another child is behaving, tell us straight away, even if you’re not sure.

Our Safeguarding and Welfare Officer is Amin Moghimi. Email safeguarding@timefootballacademy.co.uk or call +44 7360 752918.

Amin Moghimi’s DBS checks, safeguarding training and welfare-officer training are complete.

If your concern is about Amin Moghimi, contact Milad Rakian at info@timefootballacademy.co.uk instead, or go straight to any of the organisations on this page.

How we respond

  • We listen, take every concern seriously and write down what was said, using the person’s own words.
  • We don’t investigate ourselves. We refer concerns to the right people: children’s social care where the child lives (in Slough, Slough Children First), or the police.
  • Concerns about an adult who works with children are referred to the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).
  • If TFA is affiliated to The FA, we also tell the Berks & Bucks FA Designated Safeguarding Officer and The FA’s safeguarding team.
  • If your concern is about TFA itself, you can go to any of these organisations directly.

Keeping children safe at TFA

  • Everyone who coaches or supervises children holds an enhanced DBS check with a children’s barred list check, and safeguarding training, before they start.
  • Coaches are never alone with a child out of sight of others, and don’t contact children directly on social media or by private message.
  • We follow our codes of conduct, photography policy and collection procedures.
  • Safeguarding records are kept confidential and stored securely.
