Policies
Attendance, collection and emergency procedures
Drop-off, collection, what happens if a child is ill or hurt, and what we do if a session is cancelled.
Drop-off and collection
- Please bring your child to the coach at the start of the session and collect them from the coach at the end. Coaches are responsible for children only during the session.
- Tell us in advance if someone else will collect your child. We will only release a child to an adult you have named.
If a child isn’t collected
- A coach stays with the child, with a second adult present where possible, and calls you, then the emergency contact.
- If we can’t reach anyone, we follow our safeguarding policy and may contact children’s social care or the police.
Illness, injury and emergencies
- Please keep your child at home if they are unwell, and tell us about any new medical needs before the session.
- A first-aider attends every session.
- In an emergency we call 999 first, then you.
- Every accident or injury is recorded, and we tell you the same day.
- Children who need medication, such as an inhaler or auto-injector, should bring it to every session, clearly labelled.
Attendance
Please let us know if your child will miss a session.
Cancelled sessions
If we have to cancel a session, for example because of bad weather or a venue problem, we message families as early as possible on WhatsApp.
