Parent, player and coach conduct

Players

• Listen to the coaches and try your best.
• Be kind and fair to teammates, opponents and coaches.
• Play by the rules and accept decisions.
• No bullying, swearing or unkind comments, on the pitch, online or anywhere else.
• Tell a coach or your parent if something worries you.

Parents and carers

• Encourage effort, not just results. Praise all the children.
• Leave the coaching to the coaches during sessions.
• Respect coaches, referees, other families and venue staff. No shouting, abuse or aggressive behaviour.
• Arrive and collect on time, and keep your contact and medical details up to date.
• Follow our photography and safeguarding policies.

Coaches

• Put every child’s safety and wellbeing first.
• Hold the checks and training TFA requires before coaching.
• Treat every child fairly and with respect, and give every child time on the ball.
• Never be alone with a child out of sight of others, and never contact children directly on social media or by private message.
• Report any concern about a child’s welfare straight away, following our safeguarding policy.

If the code is broken

Anything that puts a child at risk is handled under our safeguarding policy.
